Alabama A&M Bulldogs prepare for final game of the season. Connell Maynor and Aqeel Glass reflect on the last 4 years

The Bulldogs will host Senior Day during Saturday's game versus Arkansas-Pine Bluff

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Alabama A&M Bulldogs are gearing up for its final contest of the season. The team will be back home at Louis Crews Saturday to host Arkansas Pine Bluff.

It’s been quite the journey for this 2021 Bulldogs football team from win streaks to major mid-season Conference losses.  Regardless of how things panned out Connell Maynor's guys, we’re able to overcome a multitude of injuries throughout the season secure wins in their last three matchups including its most recent victory over Texas Southern that came by way of a late 4th quarter comeback now Maynor and Quarterback Aqeel glass are reflecting on this teams journey

"They've come a long way, four straight winning seasons, four straight Magic City Classics, a SWAC Championship, and a HBCU National Championship so these guys have a lot to be proud of," said Maynor when asked about the perseverance of his team.

Quarterback Aqeel Glass is in his 5th year with the Bulldogs. During his time he's snatched numerous honors including being named the SWAC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Saturday's win over Texas Southern. Glass threw for a Division 1 Era program-record 462 yards, beating his previous record of 446 yards. Glass also totaled 5 touchdown passes reaching his 100th career mark.

"I can't be a great quarterback if I don't have great receivers, great O-lineman, and great playmakers around me to do my job so it's been a blessing."

Saturday's game versus Arkansas Pine-Bluff will be the Bulldogs Senior Day. Kick-off is at 1 o'clock at Louis Crews Stadium.
