Troubling news coming out of the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network today, at the Alabama state capitol auditorium. Teen use of tobacco products, including e-cigarettes, is a public health epidemic.
Tobacco use across the country among teens has jumped 36%. In Alabama, 14% of high school students smoke cigarettes, that’s 1 in 7 — nearly a quarter of those use e-cigarettes.
Organizers want state lawmakers to keep passing policies and legislation to prevent children from developing tobacco addiction.
