UPS is expecting a record-breaking holiday season, but their busiest day may not be what you expect.
They day they’ve got circled in bright red? Jan. 2 – the big day of returns. In fact, the retail industry calls it “National Returns Day.” The company released some of their estimates on Monday, saying they think e-commerce shoppers are the ones putting things over the top.
UPS expects to handle 1 million return packages per day in December, and by Jan. 2, it could be 1.9 million returns on that day alone.
