Several people in the area were evacuated as a result.
The fire started around 2 a.m. with multiple explosions. One of the explosions went about 40 feet in the air, according to officials. No injuries were reported.
The Alabama Department of Transportation placed detour signs on both Highway 43 and 72. Traffic was delayed throughout much of the morning.
