The man wanted for shooting at police officers late Wednesday night has been caught.

43-yr-old Michael Cody in custody, facing attempted murder charges.
Hollywood Police Chief Jason Hepler says the suspect was found walking neck-deep in a nearby river. Officers and a rescue team were setting up a post near the river when Scottsboro investigators saw the suspect in the river.
He says Cody was grazed by a bullet after police say he shot at two officers Wednesday night. Officers attempted to stop him because his vehicle had no tail lights, but when they turned on their lights he fled.
Cody’s car crashed on Bellefonte Road near the back gate of the nuclear plant after a short chase. He attempted to flee on foot. That’s when officers say he shot at them.
The investigation is ongoing. Chief Hepler said that after the suspect is evaluated at a local hospital, he will be jailed on attempted murder charges.

Hollywood police officers faced gunfire when they attempted to stop a vehicle for a minor traffic violation late Wednesday night.
He driver fled when officers attempted to stop the car and a short chase began, ending when the car crashed on Bellefonte Road near the back gate of the nuclear plant.
The driver bailed out of the car and fired several shots towards the officers. The officers weren’t hit and the bullets struck their vehicle, disabling it.
Police say the man ran from the scene and believe him to be wounded. They describe him as a white male,and was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt. He was described as being slender with medium to long hair.
If you see anyone walking matching this description, notify 911 and do not pick them up as they may still be armed and dangerous.
