SAT takers could get “Adversity Score”

The College Board, which administers the SATs, is reportedly planning to revamp its scoring process for the tests.

The College Board is reportedly planning to assign an “adversity score” to students who take the SAT to capture social and economic backgrounds.

The Wall Street Journal says the new number will be calculated using 15 factors including crime rates and poverty levels from a student’s neighborhood.

Only colleges will see the numbers.
