Salute to the Military: Paul Silvers

Staff Sergeant Paul Silvers served our country for more than 30 years, first in the Marines and then in the National Guard.

“I felt it was my duty to serve my country,” says Paul Silvers of his time in the military.

In 1973, Silvers enlisted in the United State’s Marine Corp. 

“Got out of boot camp, went and worked with the helicopters,” he says. “Became a crew chief on the CH46. Went to Iwakuni, Japan, became a search and rescue swimmer on the CH46.”

Staff Sergeant Silvers got out of the Marines after six years. But it wasn’t long before he was back, serving our country. This time in the National Guard. He served there until he retired in 2010.

Thanks to the folks at Brockwell Technologies and Still Serving Veterans, we are recognizing Staff Seargant Paul Silvers with a check for $1,125.”

“We are so honored to give you this check today for everything that you’ve done. Thank you so much. We could never say thank you enough,” says Chelsea Roadman of Still Serving Veterans.

Tessa Green of Brockwell Technologies says, “We have a very special place in our heart for our vets. We just appreciate all the service they’ve done in protecting our country.”

Silvers says, “It’s an honor. I don’t feel like I deserve it.
