After helping 16 families displaced by an apartment building fire on Thanksgiving weekend, the Red Cross is now assisting another family who lost their home.
The fire happened at a home on Laurel Lane in Gurley, just before 3:00 a.m. Keel Mountain Volunteer Fire and Rescue says crews from Gurley, Killingsworth Cove, and Central were on the scene to assist.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. Luckily, nobody was injured.
