Alliances being built across the globe are starting here in the Rocket City.
The North Alabama International Trade Association (NAITA) and the part of the Army that deals with foreign military sales, the Army Security Assistance Command (USASAC), collaborated Thursday at the Space and Rocket Center.
Industry officials say there’s a high worldwide demand for defense products from the U.S. and that shows the need for policies that support it.
“It’s important to our industry because they get to sell more product or more services and make additional money in it,” said John Hamilton, past president of NAITA. “It’s important to our nation because it enhances our alliances with our foreign partners.”
They say the industry supports North Alabama and the world.
