New Market School in Madison County is working hard to insure student safety while experiencing power and HVAC issues on one of the hottest days of the year.
Earlier, the school experienced a power outage that affected much of the campus including the HVAC and phone system. Families were informed that they could check out students without penalty and that students had had lunch.
Power has been restored in all buildings but the gym building and all students have been moved out of that building, but the HVAC system is still not working. According to the school’s Facebook page, their maintenance department and plant manager are working to get those restored. While the phones are down, families can contact the school office by calling 931-652-2398 or 246-426-8766.
Updates are also being posted on the school’s Facebook page.
