There’s a new scam we need to tell you about.
Decatur Utilities says several customers have gotten calls recently from someone claiming to be with Huntsville Utilities. The caller threatening to shut their power off if they don’t pay over the phone, immediately.
If you get a call like this, Decatur Utilities says to hang up. Neither Decatur Utilities nor Huntsville Utilities calls customers to threaten to cut off power if immediate payment isn’t made over the phone.
