Just in time for summer the new Madison Cross Roads Community Center is now open.

The $4 million facility on Pulaski Pike includes two indoor courts, an indoor walking track, and a conference room. It’s the second community center in the district and County Commissioner Phil Vandiver says it’s been wanted for a long time.

He says they were paying off the Monrovia Community Center for 15 years and can now finally focus on this new one in Toney.

“Excited about the crowd, just look forward to having all the people here,” said District Four Commissioner Phil Vandiver. “Look forward to having all the kids out on the courts playing and the adults playing and just everybody getting to use the facility.”

The center will be open every day except for Sunday and is free to enter.

The hours are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Wednesday 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
