NASA is one step closer to the first crewed flight of the Space Launch System.
NASA and Aerojet Rocketdyne hot fired an RS-25 engine flight controller at NASA’s Stennis Space Center on Mississippi in Tuesday.
The engine will power the SLS first stage
Much of the system is being developed here in the Rocket City.
The SLS is expected to send astronauts to the moon in the 2020’s and then to Mars.
