According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, on April 16, an investigation by the Hanceville Police Department and Morgan County Narcotics Unit led to several search warrants being served simultaneously on suspected members of a drug trafficking organization.

The search warrants in Morgan County yielded approximately 12 pounds of marijuana, seven firearms, ammunition, a money counter, and more than $1,000 of U.S. currency.

Dillon Stewart Edmond, 19, of Decatur, AL, was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana First Degree and tranported to the Morgan County Jail. His bond is set at $25,300.

The Sheriff’s Office says the investigation continues with other potential suspects to be apprehended. They also remind the public that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
