Archaeologists have discovered a medieval sword in western Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It was embedded in stone at the bottom of the Vrbas (ver-boss) River. The Banja Luka sword dates back to the 13th or 14th century. Historians are hoping to get more information about the sword once it’s cleaned.
After it’s restored, the sword will be displayed in a local museum next year. It was this sword that brought so much attention to underwater archaeology.
