It all started off with a parade this morning, and then locals made their way to the festival. Hundreds came out to Madison for the fun, requiring satellite parking lots and school buses to shuttle attendees from their cars to the main festival area.

Musical performances, local vendors, pet-friendly tents, even a bit of karate brought something for everyone. But of course, the main attraction was the food truck lineup!

Locals say this is one of their favorite events in the area because you can find just about anything you’d want to eat. We met up with Janis Domingo, who took her two granddaughters, MaKayla and MaKinlee to the festival.

MaKayla says she loves to walk around and see what each year has to offer. She adds, “”We got to see a lot of different tents, like girl scouts and other food places that they don’t usually have here.”

Janis Domingo says this is always a great atmosphere for families to come out and connect with one another. She adds, We’ve come a couple of times– last year, the year before last… we had to make sure we made it this year… It’s something to do with the girls and to check out all the different vendors. It’s great.”

Organizers told us that “Madison Street Festival” is all about bringing neighbors together to connect with one another and have some fun.
