Madison county schools officially has a new superintendent.
On Monday, Nov. 4, Allen Perkins was sworn in by a judge at the Madison County Courthouse. Before becoming superintendent, Perkins was the Director of Equity and Innovation for the Madison County Board of Education.
Perkins succeeds Matt Massey, who resigned to become president of the new Alabama Cyber Technology and Engineering school in Huntsville.
