Tomorrow is Friday the 13th and this one just so happens to be extra scary.

Tomorrow is Friday the 13th. The last time we saw a Friday the 13th was July 13, 2018. Break out the scary movies and grab the popcorn because it’s sure to be an exciting evening.

This Friday the 13th is extra special (or scary) because there will also be a full harvest moon. Fun fact: the harvest moon is the last full moon before the autumnal equinox. It is referred to as a Harvest Moon because farmers work late under the moonlight tending to their fields.

The last time we saw a full moon on Friday the 13th was January 13, 2006. That just so happens to have been 13 years ago.

The full moon will not technically reach its peak until after midnight in the eastern timezone which would technically be Saturday morning in the eastern timezone.

As if all of that wasn’t exciting enough this full moon is going to be smaller than most full moons. This particular moon will be at apogee or the farthest point from Earth in its orbit.

As far as the forecast is concerned, you may have to deal with a few clouds which could get in the way of your moon howling.
