HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — A second case of COVID-19 has been confirmed at Marshall Space Flight Center.
According to MSFC, this case is in a worker at the Marshall Child Development Center. They are currently in self-quarantine and here is no indication that this case is related to the first case reported at Marshall Space Flight Center.
The worker was last onsite on March 16, and they believe that there is no additional risk at the center for mission essential personnel working on-site. Marshall remains at mandatory telework status under the NASA Response Framework.
The Child Development Center and MSFC are working together to trace and notify those who had significant contact with the affected employee and appropriate precautions are being implemented.
The first case was announced on March 14.
