RUSSELLVILLE, Ala. — Some school districts in the Tennessee Valley are delaying their school start times on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023 due to the possible effects of winter weather.
- Athens City Schools: Two-hour delay
- Calhoun Community College: Due to the threat of wintry weather conditions, all Calhoun Community College campuses will delay opening to 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.
- Colbert County Schools: Three-hour delay
- Florence City Schools: Two-hour delay
- Franklin County Schools: Two-hour delay
- Lauderdale County School System: 10:30 a.m. (Bus routes will remain the same, just delayed to match 10:30 a.m. start time.)
- Lawrence County Schools: Two-hour delay
- Limestone County Schools: Two-hour delay
- Morgan County Schools: Two-hour delay
- Muscle Shoals City Schools: Two-hour delay
- Northwest Shoals Community College: Due to the threat of icy road conditions and out of an abundance of caution, Northwest-Shoals Community College will delay opening tomorrow, February 1st, until 9:30 a.m. for the Phil Campbell and Shoals campuses.
- Russellville City Schools: Two-hour delay; buses on two-hour delay
- Tuscumbia City Schools: Two-hour delay
- Lincoln County (TN) School System schools will be closed Wednesday, Feb. 1.
