Rocket City Trash Pandas Day Camps start June 1

Activities include arts & crafts, kickball on the field, reading, batting cage time, movies with lunch, and more!

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — It's baseball time in Huntsville!

Although the Rocket City Trash Pandas aren't playing just yet, kids can get hands-on with Baseball Camps starting on June 1.

There are two sessions. The first is from June 1-June 5, the second from June 8-12, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm each day. Camps are for kids ages 5-12. The camps are CDC compliant.

According to organizers, kids will get to see and experience the brand-new Toyota Field facility while participating in arts and crafts, kickball on the field, reading time, batting cages with hitting instruction, cooking classes, movie time and more. Camp is rain or shine and activities may vary in the case of rain/inclement weather. 

Daily lunch and a snack is included in the purchase of camp. Each session costs $250.

Looking for a more "How-to" experience? Registration begins Friday, May 29 for the Rocket City Trash Pandas Instructional Camp.

These specialty camps take place on June 15-16 and June 22-23 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm The camp costs $200 per child and runs from 9AM to 3PM each day. They're designed to provide campers with the next level knowledge of baseball, crafted for those who want a more advanced and technical experience. Lunch is provided as well. Registration for the instructional camps goes on sale at 9AM on Friday, May 29.
