Point Mallard Water Park starting weekend-only operations citing staffing impacts

The park went on to say that it will continue with this schedule until its closing date on September 6.

DECATUR, Ala. — Point Mallard Water Park announced on Thursday that starting July 31, it will begin weekend-only operations after "unforeseen staffing impacts."

"The safety of our guests and our staff is always our primary goal and mission. Making sure that our Point Mallard visitors receive the same level undivided service and care is a key part of what makes visiting our Park so special," Point Mallard Park wrote in a Facebook post.

The park went on to say that it will continue with this schedule until its closing date on September 6. The park says to check its website and Facebook page for any additional operating schedule changes.

The park will now be open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
