PETA wants UNA to retire their current mascot program

They believe the university should end it's live-animal mascot program.

ALABAMA, USA — PETA is once again asking the University of North Alabama to retire Leo the lion, their live mascot.

This comes just two days after the death of Una, the female lion at the university.

PETA wants the university to place the surviving lion Leo in an accredited sanctuary.
