Bring your pets to take a picture with Santa all while supporting a good cause

Looking for a way to give back this holiday season?

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Grab your four-legged friends, your camera and get their Christmas sweaters out because it's time for your pets to get their picture taken with the big man himself, you guessed it, Santa Claus!

Not only will you get to capture an adorable Christmas card photo with a donation of any size, you'll also be helping a great cause, A New Leash on Life.

A New Leash on Life is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to create a no-kill community here in Huntsville.

Communications Manager of the nonprofit and her sweet boy Baker, tell us more.

"This is actually going to be an adoption event as well. We're going to have adoptable pets here but we also are encouraging people to bring their own pets. We're going to have a Santa here from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, (December 11) and we just ask to give us any kind of donation that can help us save more animals and then you will be able to take photos with your own camera or your phone," said Erin Fledderman, communications manager of A New Leash of Life. "What we're doing is, we go into rural shelters here in the North Alabama area where we're saving animals that are unfortunately on death row and for no reason other than overpopulation. We go in, we save these animals, bring them back and we'll vet them, get them up to date on everything and then help find great families for them that will let them live their lives the way they should."

From the nonprofit's Facebook page about the event:

Four-legged friends are invited to get their photo with Santa in front of our giant Christmas tree on Saturday, December 11 from 12-2 PM!

For a donation to A New Leash on Life – You can take photos of your pet with Santa, using a cell phone or your personal camera.
