How are Guinness World Records made? Find out at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center

U.S. Space & Rocket Center opens 'The Science of Guinness World Records' exhibit.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Happy Birthday NASA! Today marks 63 years of space exploration. You can celebrate at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center! with a new exhibit!

The museum opened 'The Science of Guinness World Records' on Friday, and will remain open through the holidays.

Leaders say the exhibit shows the science behind these records, and it's filled with fun activities for everyone!

"When you get kids engaged, when you show them that learning is fun and science is fun, there' no telling what you could do with it in the future," said USSRC Senior Director of Communications, Pat Ammons.

USSRC said this exhibit was developed over two years by Science North, and “this exhibition will challenge visitors to reconsider their preconceptions about what’s possible and what they themselves can achieve”.

Some exhibits include PacMan and Dance-A-Thon!

The Science of Guinness World Records is co-produced by Science North, one of Canada’s largest and most respected science centers, and Ripley’s Entertainment, the entertainment and edutainment company founded by the great Robert Ripley.

USSRC said The Science of Guinness World Records is included with general admission and opens in time for World Space Week, Oct. 4-10. Throughout the week, we will have activities and programs every day to celebrate this year’s World Space Week theme, “Women in Space.” Janet’s Planet launches the week on Monday with shows at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. There will also be a day for Scouts, a space art day, NASA Artemis Day and much more.

For more information on each day’s activities is at rocketcenter.com.
