Things to do in Huntsville: Raise money for your non-profit by volunteering with the Rocket City Trash Pandas

Volunteers can raise money for their organizations by volunteering in concessions.

MADISON, Ala. — Looking for a way to raise money for your non-profit organization?

The Rocket City Trash Pandas are partnering with local non-profits to help contribute to their fundraising goals. BallCorps Food and Beverage, the provider of food and beverage at Toyota Field, is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated organizations wanting to help enhance the guest experience in the Concessions Department while also generating revenue to support their cause.

Here's how it works. Volunteers come and help with game day operations, and the money that would've gone towards a paycheck, goes to a donation to the non-profit organizations. And to sprinkle on a little more incentive, the Trash Pandas make it fun.

Executive Chef Ryan Curry explains, "We've made it very lucrative for our groups to come out. To get a team together. They can design their own uniforms that show off their group. Come out and we'll put their name on the board and put an announcement over the PA system. They can really show off their group and what they're about and make really good money."

Eligibility of Participants

  • Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to fundraise.
  • Groups must be at least 6 people and a maximum of 30, and volunteers must be available for 4-6 hours during a game.
  • 21 and older can operate a cash register and serve alcohol.
  • Commitment to work a set number of games, to be determined by a BallCorps Food and Beverage representative.
