Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Find out how you can help your neighbors in need in the Tennessee Valley during the COVID-19 crisis.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — More and more people affected by the COVID-19 crisis are in need of help, and local charities are doing their best to meet those needs.

In order to help those in need, they need your help.

Take 5 to Give $5 - This fundraiser benefits non-profits in Madison County to help them help people during the COVID-19 crisis and beyond.

Downtown Rescue Mission, which provides food, shelter, and resource, has a place where you can donate to their coronavirus relief efforts.

United Way has a place where you can donate to the Northwest Alabama COVID-19 Emergency Fund to support those in Northwest Alabama who could be impacted the most by COVID-19. To support United Way of Morgan County, click here. For services available across Morgan County, click here.

The Huntsville Hospital Foundation has had to make an Emergency Assistance Fund to help support their drive-up clinics and fever/flu clinics. You can donate here.

The Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville has reopened their Emergency Relief Fund which as raised $180,000 in three weeks time. They provide grant funding for local 501(c)(3) organizations. You can donate here.

Manna House needs food for their Huntsville City Schools feeding program. You can donate money here or they are open for donations on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., or you can drop off supplies at the The Rock Church Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Food Bank of North Alabama is asking for financial donations instead of food donations to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. You can donate here.

Heart of the Valley YMCA provides food for low income families and is also providing childcare for essential workers. You can find out how to volunteer here.

Huntsville Dream Center has grab and go meals available for anyone 18 years and younger. You can find out how to donate here.

First Stop needs snack packs and supplies to distribute food to our homeless population. You can donate here.
