HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Here's a chance to get to know your local law enforcement at the annual 'National Night Out' next Tuesday, October 6th.

However, it's a bit different this year. The event will now be at John Hunt Park to maintain social distancing. Masks are also encouraged.

You can enjoy games, displays, live music, and food trucks will be there too. The outdoor concert will feature music by 'Southern Ground' and 'Ally Cat and the Stray Dogs'.

The 'Huntsville Community Watch Association' teamed up with the Huntsville Police Department to make it happen.

Leaders say this event brings both neighbors and police together.

"Another thing we wanted to do this year is kind of bring the police and the community together more. There's been a kind of a distance across the country, and this is a good time for us all to get together and show our support for each other," says Huntsville Community Watch Association President, Rheajoela Caldwell.

The event will be from 6 to 8 p.m.
