Morgan County Parks and Recreation slowly reopening

Starting Tuesday, May 12, Decatur Parks and Recreation will reopen the Aquadome, the tennis center, and other outdoor courts with restrictions.

MORGAN COUNTY, Alabama — Morgan county is slowly reopening.

Starting Tuesday, May 12th, Decatur Parks and Recreation will reopen the Aquadome, the tennis center, and other outdoor courts with restrictions.

Point Mallard Water Park will not reopen tomorrow.

Last week, Morgan County facilities opened with social distancing guidelines in place. Officials say the public is doing a good job following the new rules.

Morgan County Commission Chairman Ray Long said, "We couldn't have asked for a better opening. I know the people, the county are proud to be able to get back and take care of their business at the courthouse."

Morgan County walking trails are back open, but playgrounds remain closed.
