MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. — If you're looking for a new career, the Morgan County Jail is hiring.
The Morgan County Sheriff's Office is looking to bring on a few new correctional officers.
Officials say the economy, unemployment, and stimulus money has made hiring a challenge.
To apply, you must be 18 or older and able to pass a background check. They say they're looking for someone who wants to make serving the community a career.
Morgan County Sheriff's Office Spokesperson Mike Swafford said, "It's somebody who wants to serve and has a desire to possibly go to patrol one day, or if they want to start a career in law enforcement, this is a good place to start."
