As of Monday, 37 people are in the Decatur Morgan Hospital with the coronavirus or are under investigation for the virus. Eight are in the ICU, and four of them are on a ventilator.

Leaders say now is not the time to be lax about the virus.

Morgan County Commission Chairman Ray Long said, "We had several good weeks where we were doing what we needed to do, and I think people got laxed on that, but these things (masks), whether you believe in them or not, wear them. You may save a life."

Chairman Long says they want to keep people out of the courthouse. People can now get or renew tags online with no extra cost.

It is also important to protect yourself from the flu during the pandemic.

There is a drive-thru flu clinic Tuesday, October 20th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Central Baptist Church, located at 2801 Highway 31 S, in Decatur.

It is $5 per flu shot. You must pay in cash, or you can get a free flu shot with Medicare.
