One teenage boy was killed and at least 30 other people were injured after an EF-3 tornado devastated the towns of Fultondale and Center Point.

The group met at Decatur Church of Christ where they loaded up their trucks with food and supplies before heading to Fultondale Wednesday morning.

Project Unify is not new to helping in the aftermath of storms. They travel often to help cut down trees and clean up debris.

They say helping people in need is what they were called to do.

Minister Erick Chaney with the Priceville Church of Christ said, "We try to do the immediate needs, so cutting up bushes, cutting up trees. Sometimes, they're going through things and we just can lift things up and help them dig through to find things."
