One Huntsville organization has teamed up with a group in Nashville to give people in need of shelter, a place to shower.
Members of the ‘Huntsville – Community of Hope’ organization traveled to Nashville to partner with the group ‘Shower Up’ on Sunday.
‘Shower Up’ provides access to showers for homeless people in need. Members of ‘Community of Hope’ say earlier this year they received an anonymous donation of $75,000 to have one in Huntsville.
They’re excited to have a shower trailer here locally.
“Those are things that we don’t think about, having access to showers every single day. Sometimes I take two, and our friends don’t have access to that hardly at all, and if they do it’s difficult for them to get there and to get back. So we’re thrilled to be able to offer it and it’s very, very unique to our community,” said Huntsville Community of Hope President & Chief Goodness Officer, Mandy Probus.
‘Community of Hope’ plans to have the shower trailer ready in April.
