More than 30 local churches host "Praying Together for Change" at Big Spring Park

Organizers say the purpose is to come together and pray for healing and restoration, strength and unity.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala — More than 30 local churches are gathering at Big Spring Park for an event they're calling "Praying Together for Change".

Organizers say the purpose is to come together and pray for healing and restoration, strength and unity, and for Revival to come that brings change in our hearts and policies. They add, "We will be interceding for our city leaders, law enforcement, government and our community as a whole."

The public is invited to join the community prayer gathering in Big Spring Park East, led by area pastors, to "engage the Heart of God for Justice and Equity in our Land."

Organizers are asking for anyone who attends to follow COVID-19 guidelines:

COVID-19 SAFETY GUIDELINES:

- Please remain home if you are showing symptoms or are at high risk
- Wash your hands and sanitize regularly
- We encourage wearing a face mask
- Practice physical distancing of 6ft between households
