HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Approximately 2,700 Huntsville Utilities customers are out of power due to downed utility poles following a strong storm.
Huntsville Utilities said at least five utility poles are confirmed down that all require replacement.
Two of the downed poles are along Mt. Zion Road and three are along Drake Avenue, according to Huntsville Utilities.
Additionally, Huntsville Utilities says there are numerous, smaller outages throughout the service area.
"Crews are working to restore service as quickly and safely as possible. We will post additional updates as more information becomes available," Huntsville Utilities said in a notice.
