Huntsville Madison County Public Library receives donation, able to gift books to hundreds of children

The library will be handing books out at its pop-up storytime sessions.

The Huntsville Madison County Library announced that it will be able to gift books to hundreds of children this summer thanks to a donation from the Huntsville Library Foundation.

The library will be handing books out at its storytime sessions. The schedule can be found here.

We are heading back to Madison at Palmer Park for our next pop-up st... ory time (weather-permitting). Bring a towel, blanket or chair and join us! Every child who attends gets a free book! For our full schedule, visit hmcpl.org/summer

Additionally, masks will now be required when visiting library locations due to a recent county order. If you'd prefer to not enter the library, curbside pick up is also available.

The library is featuring several summer reading events to encourage young readers, including the following:

  • BookMobile Tour
  • Pop-Up Storytime in the Park
  • Take and Make Crafts
  • Book Trackers
  • Virtual Programming
