HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — Three adults were taken to the nearby hospital following a fire at Madison Grove Apartments in Huntsville on Monday morning, according to the Huntsville Fire Department.

The Huntsville Fire Department received a call about the fire at around 10 a.m. on January 25. In total, six fire trucks responded to the call.

According to firefighters, there was smoke billowing from the second floor when they arrived on scene.

Investigators say the fire appears to have started in a bedroom in Unit C in building 4304. The fire has been determined to be an "accidental fire," according to investigators.

An apartment manager told WZDX their residents are their main concern and they have reached out to Red Cross for further assistance.
