Handel's Ice Cream to open second location in Huntsville

The city's second location will be located in the Jones Valley area on Four Mile Post Road.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel and owner of Huntsville's Handel's Ice Cream Shop, Brian Vaughn, told FOX54 on Sunday that a second Huntsville location is in the works.

The city's second location will be located in the Jones Valley area on Four Mile Post Road.

Handel's original Huntsville location, located off of Highway 72, reopened in February under Vaughn's ownership after being closed down in June 2020 after a scandal in which the previous owner used racial slurs in a social media post back in 2015.

The popular chain features more than forty flavors. The store's normal hours are every day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
