Florence Utilities extends suspension of disconnects and late fees

Customers are still responsible for their bill, but services will not be cut off for not paying.

FLORENCE, Ala. — In order to help citizens impacted by COVID-19, Florence Utilities will continue to suspend disconnections for non-payment and not applying late payment fees to accounts through April 15.

They will continue to bill normally, and customers will still be responsible for their bill in full, but services will not be disconnected for nonpayment.

You can contact their Collections Department at 256-760-6525 to get specific information on individual circumstances and to arrange for extensions and payment options. 

They will continue to accept payments through their drive-through, dropbox (Short Court St./Side entrance), or online

Their drive-thru hours will be extended on April 1, 2, and 3 from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
