On February 13, 2018 at approximately 3:00am, Florence police officers responded to the Walmart on Hough Rd. to a theft of property call.
According to the Florence PD, a black male entered the store and loaded a television and other items into a buggy. He then went to self-checkout and tried to make it look like he paid for the items. When he started to leave the store, employees attempted to stop him. The male then pushed past the employees and made a threat to do bodily harm to them.
He then entered the parking lot and loaded the items into a vehicle that had a used car dealership tag on it, and left the parking lot.
Detectives contacted the dealership and learned the identity of the person that purchased the vehicle. They then compared that person with the store’s video and determined that his name is Tervarius Eugene Horton, born on 03/01/1988, from Athens, Alabama.
A Warrant has been issued for Mr. Horton for Robbery 1st.
If anyone has any information on the location of Mr. Horton, they are asked to call the Florence Police Department or their local Police or Sheriff’s Department. They can also text a tip to 274637 using keyword “FPDTIP”, plus the message.
