Many school districts in the valley are now expanding internet access to students.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — In Huntsville they are extending the WiFi range outside of every school so kids can go to that area to do school work during the closure.

WiFi will be available within 300 yards outside each school building.

"We have 3 thousand hot spots that are issued out, but we still need more. There is a lot of students that don't have access at home, so allowing them to do this at their home school in their local community, will allow them to come and continue learning."

Crews plan to have all the WiFi installations complete prior to the district's first day of blended learning on this coming Monday.
