Vote Huntsville hosts 'End Racism Now Block Party'

Tax vote passes for Huntsville City Schools

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — Vote Huntsville will be hosting an "End Racism Now Block Party" on Friday, August 21.

The event is free to the community and will go from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. According to Vote Huntsville, this is an opportunity to get to know Huntsville/Madison County organizers, activists and candidates running for public office.

Masks are required at this event and the organizers are encouraging physical distancing.

The event will be located at 2620 Clinton Ave. West and organizers said it will be 70's themed.

"Be sure to bring your acoustic instruments and your voice as we party with a purpose to end racism and inequality in our community," said the organizers.
