Crisis Services of North Alabama holding annual Turkey Trot virtually

Registration costs $30 and ends on November 26 just before midnight.

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — Crisis Services of North Alabama (CSNA) is holding its 27th Annual Turkey Trot virtually this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Runners will be able to run the 5K race on their own route any time from November 9 through November 26 simply by using a stopwatch or fitness tracker to time themselves.

The top finishers will be announced on the organization's Facebook page on November 27 and all participants will receive the traditional long sleeve shirt.

If you post selfies or videos of your route, the organization wants to make sure you tag them at @crisisservicesofnorthalabama and to use the hashtag #cantstopthetrotHSV.

Registration costs $30 and ends on November 26 just before midnight.

The organization said that due to COVID-19, participation has been low this year. CSNA said they rely on this fundraiser to be able to continue providing crisis services to the North Alabama region.
