COVID vaccine clinic at U.S. Space & Rocket Center

USSRC partners with Huntsville Hospital to host the event on Thurs., August 4.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The U.S. Space & Rocket Center is partnering with Huntsville Hospital to hold a COVID-19 vaccination clinic. Registered nurses from Huntsville Hospital will provide the first dose of the two-part Pfizer vaccine.

Thursday, August 5, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., you can go to the lobby of the Davidson Center for Space Exploration to get your first Pfizer shot. Second shots will take place on Thursday, August 26, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. No appointment is necessary.

As an incentive for getting vaccinated at the clinics, the Space & Rocket Center is issuing stickers for access to the Davidson Center’s Saturn V Hall for those receiving their first shot. When you get your second shot at the clinic, you'll receive a ticket to visit the entire center either on the day of the clinic or another day of their choice.

“We are excited to partner with Huntsville Hospital to provide an easy and convenient location to help more people get vaccinated against COVID-19,” said Dr. Kimberly Robinson, CEO and Executive Director of the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. “We appreciate the community’s continued support of the Center, and we are happy to help make the Rocket City a healthier and safer place for everyone.”

As an added incentive for attending the vaccination clinics, the Rocket Center is issuing stickers for access to the Davidson Center’s Saturn V Hall for those receiving their first shot. Following the second shot, those who are vaccinated at the clinic will receive a ticket to visit the entire center either on the day of the clinic or another day of their choice.
