Carrabba's giving meals to essential workers

Carrabba's Italian Grill in Huntsville is delivering meals to local first responders, health care workers, and teachers.

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — A local restaurant is showing their appreciation for the people on the front lines during the pandemic.

Carrabba's Italian Grill in Huntsville is delivering meals to local first responders, health care workers, and teachers! They're calling it "giving for the sake of giving."

Over the last two weeks, they've given out meals to 10 different groups.

Brandi Charles with Carrabba's said, "We just want people to know that we care about the community and we wanted to give back where we could, and feeding people is the easiest way to connect, so we just thought, why not do what we're good at and giving back is part of that."

They plan to deliver more meals to those on the front lines this week.
