ATHENS, Alabama — An Athens, Alabama, man was one of the four people who died during the siege of the U.S. Capitol on January 6, according to the Associated Press.

Washington police said 55-year-old Kevin D. Greeson of Athens died of a medical emergency during the riot that overwhelmed the U.S. Capitol. According to AP, Greeson was an ardent supporter of President Donald Trump.

The Associated Press said his family said Greeson suffered a heart attack. His family maintained that while Greeson was a supporter of President Trump, he was not there to participate in the riot that overwhelmed the Capitol, according to the Associated Press.
