"I usually come to Tennessee since they don't have a lottery in Alabama, so I always drive here and I always come here to Lucky's," said Richardson.

People waited in long lines to play their odds in both the Powerball and Mega Millions. Most people who played say they don't have a strategy and are just hoping to get lucky.

If they are lucky enough to win, people plan to spend the money in many different ways. Some say they would travel, and others say they would give to charity.

"I'm from California, so I would probably move back, still keep my house out here. Pay everything off," said Richardson. "I have a little girl who is six, so you know, set up her college fund and help all my friends and family."

Reginald said, "I'd like to build a house. I'm a carpenter, so I'd like to build something from the ground up."

Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:00 pm CST. Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesday and Friday at 10:00 pm CST.
