Alabama School of Technology and Engineering hosts admissions events

ASTCE says these events are designed to give families an overview of the school, its curriculum and residential options for students from outside the Huntsville area

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — The Alabama School of Technology and Engineering (ASCTE) is holding several admission events for prospective families ahead of applications for the 2022-23 school year.

Virtual information sessions will be held on the following dates:

  • September 14, 2021, at 6 p.m.
  • October 12, 2021, at 6 p.m.
  • November 16, 2021, at 6 p.m.
  • December 14, 2021, at 6 p.m.

Additionally, in-person preview days for applicants applying for the 2022-23 school year will be held on the following dates:

  • October 1, 2021
  • November 19, 2021

ASTCE says these events are designed to give families an overview of the school, its curriculum, and residential options for students from outside the Huntsville area.

Families will be able to meet with school leaders and observe lessons during the preview events.

To register for upcoming events, visit ASCTE's website and submit an inquiry on its admissions tab.

ASCTE was created and signed into law by Gov. Kay Ivey in 2018. The campus is temporarily located at Oakwood University's campus. The school first opened with 70 students in August 2020 and now has 150 students enrolled for its second year. In August 2022, ASCTE says its enrollment will grow to 240 students.
