A local program aims to help young students transition into kindergarten smoothly. It’s called Ready, Set, Go, and it’s currently going on at Madison Behavior Therapy. The program is designed to help kids build confidence and social skills with other children.
“An ideal candidate for this class would be a child who is in preschool or pre-k or maybe needs a little extra help and the parents are unsure of whether they are ready for kindergarten yet,” said Lindsay Chapman, licensed behavioral analyst at Madison Behavior Therapy.
Chapman says students will do “play-based” exercises that will help them follow group instructions and activities, listen to teacher instructions, as well as how to transition between activities in a classroom setting.
The program meets two days each week for four weeks. A new class is enrolled every month. Click here for more information: https://www.madisonaba.com/
