Hundreds spent their Sunday afternoon perusing art at the Monte Sano Art Festival. More than150 artists from across the state showed off their art work in a variety of mediums that include painting, pottery and fiber art.
“It is for the long time art collector who is looking to expand their collection and also for the person who has never purchased a piece of local art and they want to know what that’s all about,” said Daniela Perallon, Marketing and PR Manager for Arts Huntsville.
The Monte Sano Art Festival is an 18 year tradition that was started by a few volunteers. Event organizers say art is vital for a vibrant community.
